It was a busy little day but all the important things got done, and we had time here and there to reflect on the ways love comes into our lives. A little kiss here, a little hug there, a candy heart, a quiet conversation over a glass of wine. People making a party for the neighbors. People making snow sculptures for the sheer joy of it, even though it will all melt away.
It’s still Valentine’s Day here, so we’re going to get this in under the wire. Hope you had a lovely time and that Cupid brought you everything on your list. Wait, wait . . .

My beloved – cementing his position as “The Last of the Great Romantics” stated in absolute seriousness, “If I gave you a great big bunch of flowers, you’d want to know what I’d done or what I’d broken!” Actually, he has a point. Still, he never forgets a birthday/anniversary so I shouldn’t grumble. She grumbled.

They’ve upgraded the candy hearts to read “e-mail me”…. That’s progress I tell ya!
Happy Valentine’s Day (late as usual) to you…. I came into work yesterday and there on the desk (for me and Steve) were 4 cupcakes that my boss’s wife had made and some guy came in with a rose and said “I just got this, would you like it?” It made my day!!

I believe we are changing Valentine’s Day into something worthy one goofball candy heart at a time. Not to be outdone, for you and Steve and the furchildren:

Gerry, thank you! Not only was that worth waiting for, but I have discovered a marvelous way to use the time that slow dial-up gives you when it’s downloading something you want to see: You pick up a BOOK and READ! 🙂 xxxooo pj

Hahaha…that candy heart is still a little behind. Shouldn’t it be FB or tweet me?

Loads of hearts to you too, Gerry – albeit belatedly. Have been snowed under with work (not with snow), and have a serious blog-backblog.

How sweet is that!
I’ve been especially busy of late with my favorite wood sprite who is on winter school break. We often enjoy OXO soup together which we call Hug-Kiss-Hug soup. Not sure if you can buy that in Michigan.
