My guess is that you may not have lost any of your plantings, but at most two. (I was not going to try moving anything around—I’ve had enough adventures for one day.) The trees mostly landed on the south side of the pathway, with some branches extending across the pathway to the north. Nothing along the raised bed of the back yard was damaged. In the first photo you can see the bottom of those railroad tie stairs leading up to the back yard.
In the second photo you can see the trees along the north side of the pathway next to the southwest corner of the foundation. They are all fine and dandy.
In the final photo you can see the limbs that may—or may not—cover damaged little trees. You can see a little cedar tree in the foreground, and the steps to the rear. I inspected in a gingerly fashion and saw nothing buried in there. Even if there is something in there, it might well spring back and survive.
I think it’s going to be OK. No sign of your handyman yet, but I imagine he has a lot on his plate. It was Quite A Thunderstorm.
