Dorothy Bells Gift Shop

Joe Coleman lives in the southern end of the Township on a road named for his family with a view of the Bay.  A really great view.  He used to have a bricks-and-mortar gift shop in Traverse City, but these days he runs  Dorothy Bells Gift Shop, a virtual store where an astonishing variety of home and garden decor may be ordered online and shipped from a warehouse in California.  He also farms.  This summer he will grow tomatoes, peppers, cabbage, sweet corn, raspberries, squash and pumpkins that he sells through farmers markets, supermarkets, and farmstands all along US-31.  He’s thinking about starting a CSA program.
