Two sunny winter days in a row! Shall we hope for a three-peat? The dogs and I ran out into the day utterly delighted with blue skies and showers of sunshine, and I forgot to bring the camera. This never happens. Still, it’s just as well. It gave me plenty of time to laugh at the antics of the Duo, who were snuffling in the snow and dancing in the snow and dashing through the snow around the bend and hiding there, waiting for me to puff along behind them, then off again, in a cloud of snow. I never could have captured it anyway, you’ll just have to take my word for it.
After we got back, though, I did run out again by myself and take a couple of quick pictures to hold us over the next time it gets gray. Here’s one. Gotta go to the day job now.
All around the blogosphere there are snowy wonders:
- Mrs. Uhdd is splashing out on a spectacularly beautiful series of ice circles spinning on the river and hoarfrost images from this extraordinarily snowy English winter.
- Carsten has a series of winter sunsets in Denmark—and there’s a fence! I love synchronicity, don’t you?
- Anna Surface found a hitchhiking windmill.
- When last heard from, Scott Thomas was photographing buffalo out in the Badlands. He was headed home after that—wouldn’t be surprised if he’s spent the last several days at O’Hare waiting for his plane to be de-iced.

Such activities as you had with your dogs and with your photography make a day job much more tolerable.

Lucky you with two sunny days in a row. We are anticipating a warm-up from the negative temps to balmy twenties with sunshine! I would, though, love to photograph some hoarfrost.
I like those mini mountains of snow. 🙂

Luckily for me, I traveled through Detroit which was cold but no delays as both of my flights were on time.
Thanks for the pingback and for sharing the other blogs. I’ll be catching up over the next few days with everyone. Keep warm and hope for more sunny and some warmth in the days ahead for you and your companions.
