Bruce Laidlaw sent the most wonderful email on Monday. He captured exactly what the light is like on the Bay at this time of year. He wrote: Didn’t see much sunshine yesterday, but the sun popped out at sunset and lit up the waves.
And the moon made an appearance at sunrise.
You see why we linger here long past Labor Day, and eventually find a way to just . . . stay.

Days of spectacularly dramatic clouds they have been–until today, which was (here on our side) just sheets of rain. Well, those waves were lovely. Thanks.

You’re welcome. What with two submissions from Babs and this one from Bruce I haven’t had to do any work at all so far this week. Good thing, too, because all this rain is making me sleepy.

Oh my! Light on waves and the moon in the morning… very nice. I’m impressed.

Bruce takes full advantage of his bayside perch, doesn’t he!

No – every day is different. That’s what’s so compelling. You are cordially invited to visit the Township anytime. You’d like it–but after a time you’d be missing the glories of western New York. Don’t you just wish that you could see all the wonders there are, if only for a moment? Pay attention, I tell myself. Pay attention.
