Katherine, who had occasion to trundle up to Charlevoix, has been playing with the software to good effect. She sent us Charlevoix in the Round, a visual pun.
Keep in mind that Charlevoix gazes westward at Lake Michigan with the eyes of love—but cuddles up to little Round Lake at heart. The village has not, so far, actually fallen into Round Lake, possibly because there are so many boats there in the summertime that there is no room for such shenanigans, and in the winter there is plenty of ice to hold it back. No slippage. But Katherine’s image gives you a glimpse of what might develop if it ever succumbs. Food for thought.
