I’m sort of a less-is-more person, although in the case of pie, I make an exception. Babs Young is sort of a more-is-more person. She has been out and about adding to the sunset collection Around Here, which is already extensive. Nonetheless, we are in agreement. I believe this particular sunset over Grand Traverse Bay qualifies as an excellent treat. Perhaps even as pie.
Can’t you just hear the water plashing over the rocks?

OMG How beautiful! I’ll have that picture in my mind as I go to sleep. Its been raining here all day, no pretty sunsets.

It just started to rain here, too, complete with thunder. It’s all good – we needed the rain, and there are never too many sunsets.

And the pebbles beneath my toes.

Ouch, ouch . . . my toes are not hardened off yet. But today the Cowboy went swimming and Miss Sadie and I both went wading.

Is this today’s sunset? Did you get to tsee the eclipse? We had perfect viewing conditions. A lot of humidity and a little ozone pollution helped make the setting sun viewable even without glasses or gizmos. Such an amazement, to see a crescent sun!
The photo’s gorgeous. Like snowflakes, no two sunsets are alike. (Sunrises, either, for that matter.)

It was not Sunday’s. Babs wrote that it was Saturday’s. I should have put that in. I did not see the eclipse. I am fond of sunlight, but the sun itself scares me and I don’t look right at it much, even with benefit of glasses or gizmos.

I’m a less-is-more person too and am becoming more that way with every passing year. I agree that an exception has to be made for pie, whether it’s apple, coconut cream, key lime or pecan. Did I mention rhubarb cranberry custard?
That photo is something else. I wonder if any mermaids showed up on those rocks after Babs left.
