I thought you would like to see Margie Guyot’s cheerful take on clothesline poles. These would complement the Trashformations clothesline we saw down on the Dam Beach last week, don’t you think?
I am delighted to have fences painted this week by Katherine and Margie, as Rob the Firefighter is in town and we are off gallivanting. More later.

I knew my clothesline was lacking something, but maybe I’ll just come back and visit Margie’s here from time to time. She’s got it covered.

There is more to artful laundering than I had supposed.

Where did you score the blue bottles? They’re terrific!

They accumulate because they’re the only color that we can’t recycle Around Here–and because blue is too pretty to throw out. Several wineries have one or another selection bottled in blue, often inexpensive pours that go down well on a hot summer day.

We gallivanted to a fare thee well and now I am gallumphing off to bed. It was a lovely “weekend” for the Firefighter and his mom. (And I like those blue bottles too.)

Now, see, that’s made my boring metal poles for the clothes lines look awfully dull. I’ll have to think of something – I did once threaten to paint them post-box red. Might do that this summer, just to be different. I threatened it when our eldest girl kept running into one of them and had an almost-permanent goose-egg on her little forehead. She’s old enough to vote now, so that may have been a few years back!

Mercy – with that history I’d be tempted to wrap my clothespoles in those mattress-like objects they use at ski resorts to keep people from damaging themselves when they run into the lift stanchions. I suppose it was good training for voting, all that running into unyielding objects. But I digress.

Gallivanting is what I hope to do with my life….when I grow up. Enjoy your time with the Fireman. By the way…did she drink all the contents of the blue bottles? If so I’m sure it was doubly the fun collecting them!

I still can’t get over your clotheslines, period. In fact, I could get a good harrumph up over the fact that we can’t have them down here. Not aesthetically pleasing, you know. Or whatever. Of course, those bottle trees never would pass muster with the homeowner’s associations, either.
I’m bigger on green bottles than blue, but I could live with these. They’re really pretty and eye-catching. Glad you enjoyed your gallivanting!

Just loving those blue bottles, here in the UK I can only think of a certain brand of sherry that comes in a blue bottle, it would be an awful lot of sherry to consume.
