Saved by the Babs

We have been having an obsessive little week, what with several breakthroughs on the Civil War veterans front. I was casting about in vain for an interesting blog topic when bing! – up popped the weekly email from Babs, and not a moment too soon. She writes: I returned from Ohio today to a bit of snow. Here are some milkweed pods in the snow. I guess winter has come to Michigan.

She has that right. On the other hand, I gather it’s about to start raining, so who knows what the week will bring? At least we have something pretty to look at while we’re trying to figure out the pesky shopping lists.
