I am still having massive problems with WordPress, but I am also finding workarounds so there you go. Below is a gallery of snippets from our morning walk in the frosty dawn of November 11, when it seemed every leaf was rimmed in ice crystals. I am way too tired from my labors to tell you much about the images, but at least they’re here. Who was it said 90% of the battle is showing up?

And what a beautiful mosaic they make, well worth all the effort, thank you for posting them for us.

Your images speak for themselves, Gerry. I am especially fond of the one in the lower left corner with the line in the sand echoing the leaf’s curve.
You’ve shown up for work! You deserve a raise!

After photos like these, Gerry….words are unneeded! They’re wondermously beautiful….

As lovely as each leaf is, the whole is greater than the sum of the parts. Beautiful! This is the November I *usually* am familiar with: the burnt orange leaves and greys from sky and stones.

Thanks, everybody. PJ, I’ll take up that raise issue with Management. I think the curly leaf may be my favorite, too.

You are so artistic, this is just beautiful, every single photo is interesting and all together they make winter become almost welcome. The frosty colors and soft light is very pleasent to look at.

Oh, thank you. Since uploading has become such an enormous pain in the neck I’m experimenting with “pre-press” and looking for images that lend themselves to square cropping. It’s interesting to do these little exercises–makes me examine things in a different light. I’m glad you liked the results!

These are wonderful frosty images! I love how frost outlines in sparkle. I really like the 1st photo in the second row of the frosty leaf on sand and rocks. All these images as a collage on a poster would look great hanging on a wall! 🙂

Thank you, Anna. That’s food for thought. The poster series: Leaves by Gerry, Sticks by Miss Sadie, and Dead Fish by the Cowboy. OK, maybe the Duo will have to get their own website.
