She’s outdone herself. Babs has been cavorting about in the spring sunshine with lambs and llamas and, and . . . awwwwwww! Looky here.

She wrote: It appears to be time for spring lambs. This was taken at the farm just south of Atwood near Antrim Dells. Gerry Sell may know who the owner is . . . Alas, she gives me too much credit. I do not know who the owner is. I guess I’d better go find out. After all, that farm is the first place I ever saw baby llamas in the fleece, so to speak.

Then Babs sent more! Because even Babs, disciplined as she is, cannot choose just one photo in the first days of May. No, May is profligate. May is sumptuous. May is . . . awwww!

Then there is the “sheep with the curly horn” who gave his coat on Christmas morn . . . odd, the bits and pieces that stick in the memory.

Finally, there is the Commentary. I think the llama is quite expressive on his own, with no need for illuminating remarks from me.

Llama making a point

Somehow this heap of treasure reminds me of Barbara Kingsolver’s Prodigal Summer. She’s written a great many books I admire (especially Poisonwood Bible), and one I keep meaning to read (Animal, Vegetable, Miracle). You could do worse than visit her website. We could all do worse than revel in the abundance of life springing forth after the long winter.
