Babs has been out and about on this warm – yes, really warm at last! – spring day. She captured these interesting shadow patterns in Elk Rapids, where the white stuff on the ground was beach sand, not that other stuff. Fie on that other stuff.

What a lovely photo. It looks like Spring’s neurons are starting to fire again. Soon, there will be floral sparks — I’m sure of it.

There are buds on the trees and the barred owls are back. Must mean something.

Ms. Babs has quite an eye. Fortunately for us, it is frequently applied to the appropriate end of a camera. This is quite a striking photograph. The shadows almost look like char marks from a lightening strike.

That’s a very good description of the shadows around the tree. I kept thinking it looked as if the ground had cracked – a lightning strike would be just the thing, wouldn’t it!

We had a whole lovely weekend. All of us are much more cheerful. Happy Spring to you, too, Sybil.

Congratulations on that! Thanks for pointing out that white stuff isn’t snow. My first thought was that you had some icy piles of the stuff lingering.
80 degrees on for today. Past couple days have been nearly that. I’ve already got a “horticulture tan” going since I am back to working outdoors all day.
Daffodils are up, tulips, hyacinths, leafy things of all manner. It’s Spring again! Enjoy every bit of it!

There are still some snowpatches, but they’re hiding out in shady patches in the woods – and in icepiles in parking lots where the snowplows deposited the mess all winter.

Lovely. I enjoy good outside shadows too, for a number of reasons, primarily because the sun must be out. Wasn’t it a wonderful weekend! And today looks to be spectacular too. Enjoy it while it’s here, tomorrow in Michigan could be totally different. Heck. Today in Michigan could be totally different.

I will hold a good thought for a good day. I am nowhere near tired of good days.

Nice! And she’s going to be in a show coming up? Is it at the Dennos? I have to go back and look at the paper again….

Several shows beginning with – TA DAH! – The Old Art Building in Leland! That is right down the road from you. You and David could go to the opening. Babs will be there. I will not. I will be feeding her kitties and watching Torch Lake for her. The sacrifices we make for our friends. Havana 2015 in Leland April 21-24
