Ah snow. Our dear and persistent friend. Funny you posted about a surprise morning and so did another blogger friend of mine who lives in Maryland. Her link: https://breezesatdawn.wordpress.com/2016/04/05/morning-surprise/ I think you’d enjoy each other.

Robin makes some wonderful photos. She is maintaining her equanimity. I . . . am not.

Oh, dear. Just to be sure, I went and looked at a couple of other weather sites. They all agree. Rain. Snow. More rain. Snow. Cold.
Let’s just hope it doesn’t get too cold, and turn some of that mess into ice. Condolences.

I put the car in the garage. We’ll see if I can ever get it out again.
Maybe it’ll just rain a lot. Maybe I should get the kayak out.

Beautiful photos. Yesterday was so gorgeous that I think Mother Nature was teasing us – kind of like the spoonful of sugar to help the medicine go down. This can’t last much longer though – can it?

It can. Yesterday was pretty, though, wasn’t it?

Okay, in 2011 we had one of the biggest, heaviest snows on April 20. I’m sayin’ we’re not out of the woods yet.

I’m never out of the woods unless I’m down on the beach. Where I am not going to be anytime soon. I was going to look at past Aprils on TLV but maybe I will go spend the day in the 19th century instead.

I decided to go looking at Aprils past, and I found this for April 8, 2014, from you: “Am happy to report that my RHUBARB and DAFFODILS have broken through to the sun this morning!”

It’s Wordsworth’s birthday! A host of golden daffodils are sure to turn up at any moment.

In his Lake District, perhaps. In mine . . . it is snowing again. I am aggrieved.

Done and done. Fortunately it hasn’t been too bad and the sun came out a little and some of it is gone.

Do the duo not get themselves all tangled up in the trees with their shared lead (leash)?

They do. Sometimes they even get themselves all tangled up in each other, or worse, around me. But we are adept at untangling. The Cowboy, finding himself ensnared, simply sits down and waits for rescue.

I hope Mama Nature is done playing her jokes on you now. Her sense of humor can get old pretty quick.

Let’s just say the fun continues. It is really cold out there and the snow has not melted much around my lair in the woods–but there is sunshine! Yay!!! We went for a short walk on the beach yesterday. We went only with the wind at our backs, though–climbed up the stairs at another access and walked back home along the sheltered road. Exhilarating.
