Thank you. They were among the very first that fell, way back at the end of August, and I thought they deserved to make an appearance even at this late date.
Thank you. I’m glad you liked the pumpkins. They were one crop that did very well here this year. I believe I am going to steam and roast and otherwise cook up some pumpkins before they are all gone. I consulted my copy of So Easy to Preserve and established that I can freeze cooked pumpkin without poisoning myself.
Thank you. Now what I want to know is why no one said “Oh, look! The Elk Rapids clock has no hands!” Wait, wait – it is my own fault. I should have entitled the post “Look! No hands!”
We just thought you were the people whom time forgot! The photos are exquisite – thank you for the title, so I can know that my favorite is asparagus.
I just had pumpkin soup for supper. Wonderful stuff, and it freezes nicely, too. I make it very thick, with onion and apple, using veggie broth, and then add milk or cream when I’m ready to pull some from the freezer and indulge.
That soup sounds very good. All soup sounds good to me in November, and it all tastes good, too. Apples are another crop that did moderately well right here in my corner of Antrim County. I could put apples in.
Wonderful pictures of a Season I love. The yellow leaf on a blue deck chair is a very alive still life 😉 Snow has fallen here, trees are almost bare but still there are colours to be found. Hope you and your duo will have a pleasant weekend.

It’s autumn. Gotta have pumpkin. I’m pretty sure I have to make the pumpkin pie bars for the upcoming festivities. I’ll let you know how it goes.

They have put the face back on the clock but the motor that runs it has now burned out.
