Babs, too, has been traveling M-88 and finding the prospect good. We live in the midst of rich abundance. I encourage you to click on the photo for a larger image. It will repay inspection, I promise you.

Bicycling makes me hungry too.

Bicycling up M-88 to the third ridge would make me very hungry if I could do it at all. You and Mrs. Tootlepedal would find it a pleasant pedal, and would go on for another dozen miles before turning back. You would probably stop for a bite to eat in Bellaire.

If Mrs Tootlepedal was with me, we would certainly stop.

Nice picture, nice word. One I can’t see without picturing little buns, dancing merrily away to some snappy tune, happy smiles on their little bun faces. I think a-bun-dance would be a sight to behold.

The Cowboy, who often trails behind us on the beach, says that a-bun-dance is indeed a merry sight to behold.

We share that same late sun glow that sets the landscape on fire. And oh, how we will remember this when the land is all white and sleeping.

Ah well. When it’s 90 in the shade I remember the delights of moonbeams on fresh snow, too. It’s all good (I say confidently from the heart of golden autumn).

Like one of those large, beautiful Flemish paintings. A view to remember on days of barren landscapes.

That is putting it very well indeed. I thought the image would make a wonderful illustration, spread across two pages, for a really good children’s story, or for a poem. It invites us to sit here quietly in the sunshine. Listen to the rustle. Watch the clouds. Think our thoughts. For this moment, be content.

Beautiful, it is. I’m curious – what is the crop in the foreground? I can recognize corn, and don’t think that’s corn. It certainly doesn’t look like wheat, either. Maize? Millet? I just can’t decide.

I don’t know – must investigate. I’m going to guess oats, but I could be really, really off the mark. Back later. 🙂

I hope they’re oats! I’ll have a song to sing to them.
