Babs Young has been out and about in Charlevoix. She writes: Each week the Jordan River Arts Council sponsors a Plein Air Session. This last week they were at the Blossom residence on Round Lake in Charlevoix. The house is an iconic Earl Young with magnificent gardens. With a dock and view like this you can imagine what the rest looks like.
For those of you from Away, Round Lake is a little bowl between Lake Charlevoix and the Pine River channel. The channel leads out to Lake Michigan; a drawbridge opens to let the bigger pleasure boats through. There are a lot of those. The entire shoreline is rimmed with docks and 50-foot boat slips and landscaped terraces rising to summer houses or condos. It is a very festive place.

Gerry, Thanks for that link to the Earl Young houses. I love the Old House Journal and used to subscribe. It’s a great resource.
