Katherine was out and about and ran into a nice young family out for a stroll. As the average age in the Township is astonishingly high—really, you should consider moving here on the grounds of life expectancy alone—it is always a treat to see youth on parade.
We’re hoping it’s a trend. Probably has something to do with the rumors of highspeed internet inching north along US-31. Somebody told me the youngsters like that sort of thing.

Aaaw, that’s lovely. Broadband eh? You’ll be wanting a cellphone signal next …

Or my very own unicorn. A unicorn would be lovely.

Whoever promised you a unicorn? Now a rose garden one can put it oneself.

Like broadband, cellphone service and unicorns, rose gardens are disinclined to grow at the Writing Studio and Bait Shop–and would be lovely.

I didn’t mean to be a smart aleck. Really. The thought of unicorns threw me over the edge.

But I like smart aleckry! I’m not sure where the unicorns were hiding but I was glad when they appeared. 🙂

See, you are looking at those goslings from the point of view of a person. Imagine looking at them from the point of view of a Junebug.

Awwww…. Katie and I saw a family on the pond at her park. Mom, Dad and 4 little fluff balls swimming in a row. Reminded me of my own family, Dad used to walk in front, the four kids trailing behind and Mom following up

I imagine that’s how our family looked, too, although I was always pretty easily distracted.

Very cute, as far as one doesn´t get too close. Or are they perhaps more friendly than those we have here, who chase runners now and then?

I never see Canada geese except when I’m down on the bayshore, and I’m not allowed down there without the Duo, so the geese give us a wide berth. They might be more aggressive if they had goslings with them. Mother and Father Goose look pretty serious in Katherine’s photo, don’t they! Domestic geese, now, those scare me. They have ever since my grandma’s darned geese chased me around the barnyard.

Miss Puss likes watching them too. And their parents watch Miss Puss. Who needs TV?
