Babs Young writes: The cherry blossoms are beginning to pop. Not all are out yet, but they are coming on, maybe a bit late. They seem to be in abundance none the less. I’m sure these will be great cherries sometime after the 4th of July.

Cherries, sound yummy.
Around here everyone is picking strawberries and making jam.

Already?!? Amazing. I love strawberries. One day there will be some. Last year the Romeyns put their early strawberries out on June 9. I cannot imagine that will happen this year.

Yes, here in Britain spring, and winter before it, came three weeks early this year. I have gooseberries half-way done and tiny apples visible already. Beautiful picture of your blossom. Ours is well past now.

We’re a bit behind, but it feels like things are coming along now. If we can only get through the next two weeks without a hard freeze we should be fine.
I love the very name of gooseberries. My grandmother had gooseberry and currant bushes, and they’re a happy memory.
