Monday’s walk. Fog filtered through the trees as warm air drifted over melting snow.
Tuesday’s Record-Eagle.
This morning.
But look – there is hope yet.

We were hoping the Big Snow would miss it, but it didn’t, and I will try not to get all moony and sad because OTHER people will be getting chicks this spring. I got a seed order in yesterday’s mail, and we’re excited about that. For now, we’re using the snow as an excuse to have a cozy day at home.

It is still snowing. A lot. Not that it matters–my car is still in the hospital. So the question is whether it would be fun to trot up to the Eastport Market for bread and eggs and coffee, and to trot back again. In the nice fluffy snow. Nah.

Oh poo! I’m sorry you are getting it once again. Predictions are varying wildly for these parts. I hope I don’t have pictures like yours to share tomorrow.

Could be worse. Could be wet, slushy snow with freezing rain on top. It’s still coming down like crazy, but fluffy is good. Fluffy I can handle.

I would love to have a couple of chickens but they are not allowed in our municipality. Pity. Some major cities do allow them: Vancouver and L.A. for example …
I hope spring REALLY arrives soon Gerry.
It’s tardy here but at least we have no snow.

Wise decision, Gerry. Stay cosy at home, with the cuddly duo. Much nicer.
I’d love to keep chickens, but the local council frowns on that sort of thing. Not to mention the thriving fox population, who’d ensure that I’d need a hen-hoose (as we always called them) built along the impregnable lines of Colditz Castle! Ach, someday.

Now, see, if I kept chickens I could go out to the hen-house and get some nice fresh eggs for my supper. However, I suspect the Cowboy would be far too interested in the hen-house. Best I have spaghetti for supper and hunker down indoors. Yes indeed. I’m surprised that even without the chickens you have neighborhood foxes. Wildllife is adaptable.

Thats a couple of beautiful spring images.
I nearly forgot how fluffy snow can be.
It seems a serious matter with your car. Maybe they’ll exchange it and send you a new one?

I suppose beauty is, like quirkiness, in the eye of the beholder!
I wonder if Canon makes cars . . .

LOL My thought on chick days would not include chickens. Hang in there, Spring is coming. I know that because the Earth hasn’t stopped moving in its orbit. Now, that would be news!

You are so predictable.
Unlike Mama Nature.
But I choose to take your word for it that spring will eventually arrive.

Yikes! I think that’s the same storm that gave us two inches of sleet and slushy snow. Swept the wet heavy snow off the car Thursday morning and then had to scrape off the coating of ice off that was under it. By afternoon all was melted… Hope your spring comes soon!

I hate Wintry Mix. This was all nice fluffy snow, usually fairly quick to melt–but it is cold out there. Really, really cold. So the snow is still here. But so is the sun. Blessed sun.
