Babs writes: We missed the big snow that went south of here last week and instead have had some beautiful days like this one. I passed this farm, but can’t remember exactly where it was. So let’s say it’s somewhere in Northern Michigan.
I can go with that. I’m certain it is not from her vacation on Key West. Is that a beautiful barn or what? If you click on it, you will get a nice, big version. If you happen to know where it is, please let me know. I’m going to guess that it’s over along the route to East Jordan. Babs has been spending a lot of time over there getting ready for the February 13 opening of For the Love of Letters, the new show going up at JRAC. More about that very soon.

What a gorgeous picture – the old-fashioned barn, the modern silo, the bright blue sky! Just gorgeous.

Thank you, Fee. I know the silo looks very Space Age, as if it has a shiny dome, but I’ll bet it’s been there for a long time. (OK, long time by our standards!)

I agree. It’s a beautiful barn. The beautiful sky and the beautiful barn go together well. 🙂

Wonderful mix of old and new and the snow and sunshine make the whole thing into one, simple, focused and stunning. Brilliant photo!!!

Hi! Beautiful red barn! In helping to find it, I see where the cows are what I’ve been told are “Oreo Cows”. Black on both ends and white in the middle. There aren’t that many around, so you might find out that way. 🙂
Thank you for all the beautiful pictures of home!

Hi Gerry, The beautiful picture of the red barn may have been taken of the Murphy barn on Kidder road. I believe I recognized the bull, and that is a bunch of bull!
I’m glad to hear that someone else was cheering the Packers on, I had predicted the Packers to take it at 33-27 I wasn’t too far off.
Gerry do you cross country ski? If so bring your skis over someday and I will take you into a world of pure beauty. Lois

Hi Lois! I used to strap on a pair of old wooden skis with leather thongs to mush through the woods and along a frozen creek. That was when I had flexible knees and no idea at all that I was mortal. Dunno if I could ever do it now, but the promise of pure beauty is compelling. We’ll talk!

It is possible that it was on Kidder Road. I’ve been known to take that route to and from East Jordan.
