I’m going to spend the morning deep in an editing project and the afternoon over at Wagbo learning about homebrewing. I have no idea whether I can master the art of making mead, but I am positive I will get a good blog post out of it. While you’re waiting to see how that works out, I have devised another amusement for you.
Just for the heck of it, I’ve opened the Gently Used Ideas store. You can visit it at Today’s Prompt. Those of you who are writers or photographers or painters or songwriters will either (a) find a source of inspiration or (b) conclude that you have way more ideas than you need and that on top of it they’re better than mine. I would not dispute you.
Those of you who do not do any of those outlandish things will be (a) fascinated by this glimpse into the Creative Process or (b) confirmed in your belief that all artists are nuts and you’ll just leave them to it until they produce something you think is interesting.
Back later.

The Gently Used Idea Store, is a good idea. Oh, Gerry, you always amaze me…but you know, I am easily amazed. I have a low wonder threshold.

And all the ideas you need, all of ’em better than mine! I’m going to steal one of yours–the one about pulling a series of images from Life magazine–only I’m rummaging around for things from the 1870s-1900s.

Neat idea, Gerry! Are you going to put an idea there every day? I’m thinking when I am done with my current photo class and Scott’s current challenge, I may be in need of ideas to get me through February.
BTW, will the Egypt post be coming soon?

Hey, Karma! Yes, I’m going to try to put an idea there every day. Mainly to clear out the gently used ideas.
The Egypt post will be coming as soon as I can persuade Wendi to take time away from doing the Stone Circle tax return and the Michigan Humanities Council grant application and the tidying up of the Elders Project manuscript . . . so she can go through the photos with me. Maybe I’ll go over and walk Harley and Lizzie for her.

Thank you. It was made by Andi Laidlaw just yesterday, down on the bay shore, during the one minute of sunshine we had all weekend. She nearly froze her fingers off. You will see the whole thing and some other Wintry Mix tomorrow.
