Gerry, I’ve lost my sense of scale here! is this a normal house that has been adorned? (granted it is early here in the UK and I’m a bit bleary eyed)The trees and snow tell me so, but the baubles have me confused 🙂

Beats the heck out of me. I’m hoping the green bauble is our guide. On the other hand, I feel a bit the way I did the first time I saw a bright yellow Hummer on the street. I didn’t believe in that and sure enough after awhile it went away. (It’s, um, a bit early here, too. Odd.)

This is indeed a real house and yes it is a bit excessive!

Perhaps there is a complex aesthetic at work here. Wendy and Peter Pan, Snow White, Dwarfs, but . . . the wicked stepmother?!?

I think the green bauble is foreground. Yes, the scene does look fantastic, incredible, impossible, but we had one like it over here for many years. As a friend of mine remarked, just a little bit of this stuff would be tacky, but when there’s so much it goes into a whole different realm of wonder for the viewer.

Shock and awe.

It was confusing looking at this. Was it a scale model or was it full size? When looking at the larger photo it became clear that these people need to rent a storage area just to house the decorations! I am wondering how much the electric bill is for December?

I believe it’s safe to say that it’s more than my combined electric and propane bills for the whole year.

Wow! Just, wow! I’m impressed, in a strange sort of way. As others have said, the electricity bill must be an absolute shocker!
Happy Holidays!

We are a profligate people. One day, rather soon I think, we may wake up with a bit of a hangover.

I thought it’s a miniature house at first, but after a closer look I couldn’t believe my eyes. It must be the prettiest Christmas house on the block.

Certainly the most lit up.
