Just after midnight last night I put up the last post and headed for bed. On the way I discovered that the Cowboy had found a new place to nap.
I did not have the heart to scold him, even though that was nice, fresh, folded laundry. I’m no fool. Which brings me to the thought for the day from the message board at the Eastport Baptist Church.
It was a wonderful day, but I’ll have to tell you about it tomorrow.

Cowboy looks very content, just as Amore when I don’t put the laundry away quickly enough.

He was blissfully content. He’s never done that before, and I’m curious as to how he managed it without tipping the whole thing over. He’s not going to manage it again.

Aaaw – he looks so cute and cosy. Mind you, not worth squashed, dog-hair coated fresh laundry (or cat-hair coated in our house). Freshly washed towels have to be immediately put away, or puss decides that there is no better place for a snooze.

Miss Puss is extremely good at getting into closed linen shelves and closets. More than once I’ve pulled a clean towel from the stack and gotten cat fur stuck to my freshly showered self.
I can just imagine people who do not keep pets reading this and thinking “Eeeuw!” Come to think of it, the pet-averse probably don’t spend too much time here anyway.

Aren’t these little surprises wonderful? Mine was seeing, on my way out of Northport, headed for home, a bright orange and black oriole swooping across the road in front of my windshield. I smiled all the way home.

I think there might have been orioles singing in the trees at the Dawsons’ yesterday. Lois says the males arrive a couple of weeks before the females, sing their hearts out, and make nests. She also says the oriole’s song is like one of the three cardinal songs. I didn’t even know cardinals had three songs. I didn’t see the orioles either, but somebirdie was singing away. I tellya, I’m just along for the ride.

How very sweet Cowboy is! What a precious shot! There is nothing like the comfort of fresh laundry. Cowboy is wise. I smiled big…. LOL at both photos.

Thank you. I confess I thought he was darned cute in that laundry basket, but let’s have that be just our little secret, OK?

So cute! The sweet little cowboy is very smart and inventive, to find himself such a nice soft – and clean – place to sleep. Could it be his comment to the bath you gave him recently, like: “clean dog deserves clean bed”? This photo is absolutely a keeper.

Thank you! The little Cowboy is definitely inventive. Dunno about sweet. Not clean, either, but that’s another post. Oh dear.
