I was having a hard time getting the day started around here, but Miss Sade and the Cowboy dragged me out of the house. That’s their job. It’s a good thing they tended to business, because I enjoyed the sunrise.
Then we went over to the market, because I had somehow forgotten to buy kibble in a timely manner. That’s my job. After that the rest of the day somehow got away from me, and I want to go to bed early and start over again in the morning. It turns out morning has its charms.

As one who starts work ridiculously early in the morning, I do see some cracking sunrises (although at this time of year, I see them through the office window) and always enjoy a nice pink sky. Even if it does tend to mean rain later on … usually about five minutes after I hang out my washing!

Fee, your weather lore is accurate. We’re having a little drizzle right now. On top of the snow. Ecchh.

Thank you. I thought it had rather a Wow factor myself.

Oh, how beautiful! A sight like this would call me for immidiately to jump out of bed and grab a camera.
Sometimes I think of mornings as a nice new and white piece of paper, ready to be written interesting stories at.
I wish you a good morning.

Thank you, Birgitte. A sky like that can get me out of bed, too, camera in one hand, water hose in the other. I live in the woods and give passing thought to forest fires.
I like your optimism. There are days when I get up and see the morning as a grubby scrap of paper with lots of crossing out and erasing, ready to be edited or burned!

Holy mackerel! That is one fantastic sunrise. You should forget to buy kibble more often 😉

It was a nice present from Mama Nature, wasn’t it! I should definitely get up earlier. Or maybe stay up later?

LOL That has seemed the case lately for me. My goodness, January is speeding by at a fast clip!
Those are gorgeous dawn captures! The colors are outstanding!

Thank you, Anna. It was a Required Viewing for sure. January is speeding by. It’s OK with me–it’s not one of my favorite months–but I’m beginning to get nervous about finishing a couple of projects on deadline. Not to mention getting the laundry done. Sigh.

FORGOT THE KIBBLE… Oh my, we must never forget the kibble. Never ever forget the kibble. Beautiful shots of the sunrise…
Moppet is still trembling after I told him what you forgot…

Moppet will probably feel better to hear that in the absence of kibble Miss Sadie and the Cowboy dined on Cheerios in milk garnished with a dab of cat food. It wouldn’t do for every day, but it sufficed for an adventurous morning. Left to their own devices, they are perfectly capable of breaking into the refrigerator and making off with their choice of the contents.

Great shots, Gerry!
There’s something serene about winter mornings.

Thank you, Loreen. It’s serene indeed at that hour. Everyone else is snuggled deep under the down comforter. Still, it was worth it.

Sounds like to me Miss Sadie and The Cowboy have been influenced by Moppet. These dogs… You just have to love them.
