Bet you never thought you’d see THAT headline, but travelers are saying it’s so, and for the moment it appears to be. That cheapest price as of noon today was 2.899 for regular. [Update: By 3 pm it was up to 2.959, but that was still lower than most places.] So go fill up. You know Russ has that handy-dandy price-changer thingamajig back in the office and he can just run out there and change those numbers . . . .
So, Russ: Hold that line! Hang tough! Think how much fun it will be to have the best price for a whole weekend. The Chamber of Commerce will probably erect a statue. I forgot. We don’t have a Chamber of Commerce in Eastport. OK, the Torch Lake Economic Development Patnership will erect a statue. And all the other gas stations will be forced to lower their prices. Ahhhhhh . . . .

When people complain about gas prices here in Northport, I tell them we’re lucky to have a gas station. And I mean it!
