Babs Young writes: And the winner is . . . . I went to Holland, Michigan last week and there were many many tulips. It’s hard to get interesting pictures of these tulips that have not been done a million times. I’m not sure this is that original, so I’ll leave that up to you.
Ah, talent AND modesty. I love these pale, mysterious tulips she sent. Thanks, Babs.
Every week photographer Babs Young captures moments in northern Michigan, and every week she sends one—and sometimes more than one!—to Torch Lake Views just for you. How beautiful! There is something about white flowers of any type that I find exceptionally lovely. I don’t grow tulips as I know the Snowshoe Hares in my yard would get the best of them if I did.

I think all of Holland, Michigan, must be surrounded by a rabbit-proof fence. There are acres and acres of commercial tulip fields shimmering in the May sunshine, set off by picturesque wooden windmills. Amazing place. No bunnies.
