Letters from Bruce: Tiger in the garden

Bruce Laidlaw, a/k/a the Weatherman, is painting the fence today. He writes:  Tiger is a big strong cat who is only allowed outside on a leash. Even in the fenced garden he must be supervised because fences only slow him down slightly. On Friday morning, he was poking around in the garden when a deer was strolling by. She stopped and opened her eyes wide when she saw the Tiger in the garden. The standoff lasted ten minutes while she stomped to try to impress Tiger. He wasn’t fazed. Finally, he decided to get a closer look and climbed up on the fence. The standoff ended when I went out to prevent the escape.
