The measure of Mother Nature’s perfidy

Last night Miss Sadie, the Cowboy and I went for our evening walk on bare roads. We did not dilly-dally, because the Weather Widget had warned us what was coming. And indeed it came.

Now I ask you, is this fair? It is not fair. But then as Jean Pitchford’s mother used to say, “Nobody ever said it would be fair.”

On the bright side, Dean Peters managed to get here with my Sunday Record-Eagle. Dale Reedy will be here soon to plow my drive. And I still have power. There have been worse ends to March.
