As the days lengthen, the denizens of Torch Lake are out and about practicing a little Artism. More of ’em every day. Thomasina Sawyer is delighted. Chris Szejbach writes: Went to the day park to see the ice on the lake. More days like this and it will be gone soon. I called this “brick on water (for now).”
I had thought about having a little contest, offering to buy a cinnamon roll for the person who comes closest to naming the day and hour of the complete disappearance of the snowpile from the parking lot at Sonny’s. Maybe I should change it to the day the brick sinks into Torch Lake.

OK. I can see there’s scope for betting on the snowpile. A cinnamon roll to the winner! When will the snowpile melt away?

I am unable to see the snowpile but my bet is on April 8th. That’s it.

We’ll keep you apprised. You seem pretty confident. Let me know when you want to meet to enjoy your cinnamon roll.
