Ho-ly Wah.

There are a whole lot of you out there reading the Alba Injection Well post and following the links. I don’t know who you are – my software doesn’t spy on you – but I do know how many of you there are, and it is more than have read any other post on Torch Lake Views during the first 24 hours after its posting. Ever. (Donnie and Dee-Dee is still tops overall, and why not – it’s one of my favorites, too!)

Let me be clear: It is absolutely your right to read and keep silent. It’s still a free country, after all, and let’s keep it that way. But if you have some thoughts you’d like to share, I’d like to read them, and I’ll bet your neighbors would, too – even if you disagree. One of you went to the trouble of writing 1000 words on the subject in an email – and then went on to say s/he did not wish to be quoted or paraphrased. OK. I accept that, but how will we ever really talk about this?

I believe my mission in life is to find ways to help us respectfully disagree with each other, along the way to an agreement about how to go forward together. Let’s talk.
