Yesterday was soooooo nice that I almost expected to hear Mr. Rogers (♫ It’s a beautiful day in the neighborhood . . . )
Babs Young was up in Charlevoix. It was a great day for an art show, she wrote. And so it was. That’s probably why there are all those white tents waaaay off in the distance. Our Babs is being inscrutable. Gotta like that in an artist.
Today is a different kettle of fish entirely, with gray skies and drippy rain here and there. A day to make plans for the better days that will arrive any minute now. And the Cowboy smells funny. (♪ Splish-splash I was takin’ a ba-ath, long about a Saturday night . . . Back later.)

Nice photo, and nice tents. Nice fountain, too. And nice word – “inscrutable”. When I was in school, we were taught that was one of the words that didn’t fit the rule – something couldn’t be “scrutable”. Now, it seems to be perfectly ok. Guess I’ll go out and scrute something.

Ah yes. (♪ You say inflammable, I say flammable, let’s call the whole thing off . . . )
Please do not scrute the Showy Ladyslippers.

and what’s with a “kettle of fish” … found this” “Why a kettle of fish was chosen to represent a muddle or mess isn’t clear. It may be an allusion to the confusion of bones, head and skin that is left after the fish has been eaten.”
ewwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww

Ah, but a different kettle of fish implies at least the possibility of a fine cioppino, no? (♫ I left my heart in San Francisco . . . )

It IS a beautiful day in the neighborhood. Today we have a warm summer breeze that’s absolutely perfect for refreshing the air and ridding it of those nasty mosquitoes. However, rain, and lots of it, is much needed to lower the risk of forest fires throughout the province.

It’s been that way here, too, except for ridding us of mosquitoes. Ours just can’t take the hint.
