Babs Young writes: Spring has arrived at the Jordan River Arts Council. Florescence opened today to a big crowd. There are over 100 art works inside. If you are in the area please stop by.
Besides the paintings and sculptures and fiberworks of all kinds, there are some nifty bags sporting Margie Guyot paintings. I don’t see how you can go wrong.

They are. And so are a great many of the pieces in the juried show. I think you should take a road trip.

Those bags are lovely indeed. If Sybil’s taking a road trip out your way, I’m coming too. It would be nice to fit in a Thelma and Louise escapade sometime before the decade’s out.

C’mon down and don’t waste time. I am an old bat and who knows how long I’ll be here?

Inside and outside, flowers everywhere! The sweet little wild cherry trees are shyly trying out their spring clothes, too. So much happens so fast at this time of year–and, it seems, every time of year any more, as the years go faster and faster…. (This isn’t just me, is it?)

Nope. Not just you. Miss Sadie has noticed too.

I’m such a fan of poppies – if I were up there, I’d be toting that bag right now.
I like the building. Those are some marvelous windows – if they go all the way around, they must allow for some wonderful light inside.

A fine building – an old Carnegie Library repurposed. If you were up here you’d be toting that bag AND a selection of Margie Guyot’s small but vibrant poppy paintings. You would not be able to resist them. Maybe it’s time for a road trip north.

This is another place for you to explore when you and Katie come north to visit PJ over at Dog Ears Books. An excellent river runs through it.

Hi Gerry, I wish I had gone to the JRAC show with you. I love that room. It was made for art. I love singing there. Andrew Carnegy did a good thing when he sponsored the building of these libraries. Even as a repurposed building it stands out.

As it happens . . . I didn’t make the opening, just the setup. We can go to the show itself next week.
