Whew. Babs has surfaced. She wrote: Today was a glorious day. Cherries in full bloom and above 80º. It’s pouring rain right now, but we will hope for skies like this again soon. [That was last night. Now it’s Monday morning and all bright and blue-skied again.]
You know what this means don’t you. Cherries in 60 days. Better late than never, I always say–and they are going to be soooooo gooooood.

What a lovely shot! We’ve been hammered with some unseasonal strong winds, and there are trees coming down all over the place. Now they’re grounding aircraft because of ash, it seems like we’ve gone back in time!

It’s odd, isn’t it. When I read that the latest Icelandic eruption was sending ash aloft toward Scotland I had this sudden image of a disoriented little penguin in high-heeled boots. I think I’ve been working too hard. But then, so has Mama Nature. It wouldn’t bother me a bit if she just relaxed for a little minute and enjoyed the pretty things of spring.
I was watching the birds this morning when I realized they were completely unfamiliar birds. I think there’s been so much blowing and swirling that the poor things got blown into a whole new place. I hope they find something to eat in Torch Lake Township. Wonder how they feel about Asian Carp?

Perfect, perfect timing. We’ll be there in about 70 days. 🙂

Better hurry up or I will have eaten all the cherries. 🙂
