As Ratty said to Mole, there is nothing—absolutely nothing—half so much worth doing as simply messing about in boats. And Babs . . . well, Babs lets her photos do the talking.
Every week photographer Babs Young captures moments in northern Michigan, and every week she sends one to Torch Lake Views just for you. You can find more of her photos at the Babs Young Photo Archives and on her Blue Heaven Flickr photostream.

The Cowboy wishes to acquire the means of printing T-shirts bearing this slogan. He feels that it has great appeal all year ’round. Miss Sadie, however, is of the opinion that it is susceptible to being misunderstood. She is a cautious terrier.

And here I thought it was just another word for nothing left to lose. But, oh, what a beautiful sight. We have a few diehards here in South of the River, too. Their venue lacks the ambience of Torch, but I have to admire them for fishing amidst the ice floes on the Old Muddy. Thanks for a beautiful photo Gerry & Babs.

Hi, Molly! The song was running through my mind as I wrote the headline. I never know what’s running through Babs’s mind unless she laughs and tells me. Glad you liked her photo. Me too.

I vote with Cowboy for this one – have quite a few fishermen of my own who would love one! :}

The Cowboy is swanning about with his nose in the air, vindicated for once. Miss Sadie rolled her eyes and went back to chewing on the Cowboy’s favorite toy. I am maintaining strict neutrality in the matter, while Miss Puss – well, you know how she is.
