Artism at Shooks Farm

You may recall that students over in Ellsworth designed a program they dubbed the Artism of Betty Beeby.  I like it.  Artism sounds like something a person could get up to in the course of ordinary life, sitting right next to a person who’s making Art.

Whenever artists get up to something in Antrim County you can be sure Babs Young will be there taking pictures.  The Jordan River Arts Council sponsors weekly Artist’s Gatherings all summer.  Babs was the hostess for the first event for 2009, held at Shooks Farm.  I must say the cows look quite interested in having their portraits made.

You say that looks like a lot of fun? I think so too. We can engage in a little artism in Antrim ourselves. Check out the Artist’s Gathering Schedule for 2009.

Every week photographer Babs Young captures moments in northern Michigan, and every week she sends one to Torch Lake Views just for you. You can find more of her photos at the Babs Young Photo Archives.
