It’s been a long, long time since a tiny toddler asked Daddy to lift her up, but her grown-up self still remembers how nice it was to be carried along, the deep Daddy voice making nice brumming sounds, the world flowing by.
Happy Fathers Day to DOD and to all the other Dads and Step-dads and Big Brothers and Kind Neighbors who lift up small children and keep them safe. May your tribe increase.
Love,
The Kids

You look so observant already, (preparing your blog?) and surely you were a very sweet baby that everyone would like to lift up, I guess.

I think I look sort of . . . puzzled. I often look puzzled to this very day. I’m glad you think I must have been a sweet baby. That makes two (you and my Dad).
