Babs wrote that she’s “always a sucker for a good sunset and this one seemed to make the cut.” Well I guess so. I particularly like the cat and the fisherman in the clouds. What, you can’t see them? OK, maybe that’s a guitar, not a fishing pole, but it’s definitely a cat. What I want to know is whether this vision appeared over the East Bay somewhere south of Elk Rapids or over Torch Lake somewhere north of Alden or . . . there are lots of possibilities around here. Definitely a cat.
Babs also wished you all a good Memorial Day.
Every week photographer Babs Young captures moments in northern Michigan, and every week she sends one to Torch Lake Views just for you. You can find more of her photos at the Babs Young Photo Archives.

The vision appeared over East Bay, as you first thought, somewhere south of Elk Rapids. My cat Selene is sure that you have seen her as she is a moon goddess.

Well there you go. I should have recognized Selene. She has appeared in these pages before.

Thank you Birgitte. Babs is good at sunsets, isn’t she!
