It’s been a lovely week so far, and I believe we have a sunny theme going. Paul and Cora Stoppert invited neighbors in for dinner on Sunday and there was pie. Lemon meringue pie, made from scratch with fresh-squeezed lemon juice.
Progress continues at the Blue Pelican. On Tuesday a big yellow crane was lifting pallets of shingles up to the roof.
There was a very nice gilded sunrise yesterday, and Miss Sadie, the Cowboy and I were there to enjoy it. Given our advanced age, we felt that was cause for celebration all by itself.
We are going to visit Rob the Firefighter and the Lady Alicia, but we will send you postcards.

I love lemon meringue pie and that one looks delicious! As they say, any day above ground is a good one! Enjoy the sunny weather.

This brought back memories of making lemon meringue pie for my neighbors many years ago. I’m sure it sealed our friendship. I’ve since moved away but we’ve stayed in touch for almost 30 years 🙂 Pie is a slice of comfort and joy. That one looks beautiful.
Lovely sunrise.

I have never seen such a delicious looking, huge lemon meringue pie. When is the next lemon pie meeting?
