Jack Bodis says Torch Lake Views has been making him feel cold, what with pictures of horses wearing snowsuits, the frozen Bay and the ice-boats on Torch Lake. He says “we have to live with it, there’s no reason we should have to look at it too.”
Jack is a printer (he did one of my favorite Betty Beeby books, Great Granny’s Sturdy Stable Picnic Tables) and I told him if he sent me a graphic to warm us up I’d publish it post-haste. In the meantime, I pawed through last August’s photos and found some that I don’t think I’ve used yet. These all say “Summer!” to me.
Here’s to you, Jack, and to everyone else who’s feeling a little ragged around the edges.
I don’t know about you, but I feel much better now.

Hi Jack. Yes, my own dad said he wasn’t going to look at the Weather Widget anymore because it made him shiver. It was time to perk the place up a little.

It was surprisingly refreshing to do this post. Maybe I’ll do a Spring Preview in a few weeks, right in the middle of March Mudness.
