Babs and I are both having a bad day, but we’re making do. Here’s what she wrote:
I took some pictures today and when I got home I realized I did not have a CF card in my camera so didn’t have a new one for this week. So I went into the recent archives and found this one taken at Dockside a week or two ago.
So Babs made do, and I’m glad of it. Enjoy the sunset.
I, on the other hand, have spent the last two hours trying to get at least one computer to work, and have settled on a make-do of my own, involving the newer laptop and a very old monitor that distorts everything. This is not nearly as much fun as you might expect, and I am getting a cramp from sitting on the floor in the loft balancing the laptop precariously and craning my neck up at the old monitor, which is perched on a metal cart . . . You know, if I can find my camera (I told you I was having a bad day) I’ll post a picture of the whole mess in a blatant bid for sympathy.

lol – Loved your comment! Gees, I was so cranky when I found the 16 stupid comments that twit put on my blog – all for fake brand name handbags – like you see in Florence and Venice. Took me about 25 minutes and lots of fake swearing (blinking blasted spammer) in front of my students, before I had them all off.
I haven’t had a spammer in over a year.

It sounds like you have invented a new kind of fitness/yoga/ for both brain and body at the same time, which should be possible to practice for almost everyone without going anywhere. Maybe you can make a buisness out of it? I´m looking foreward to see some instructions.
Barb´s photo is beautiful.

Well, we have been without a furnace for the weekend. It went kaput on Thursday night and we’ve been heating with electric heaters for the past three days. I’m suprised the heat from the electric meter spinning didn’t set the siding on fire!! They are here now banging on the old furnace to get it out and hopefully by the end of the day we’ll have heat. Lovely photo! So different from when *I* usually am there. And sympathy? ALWAYS, when it comes to computers. They are both a great blessing and a great curse!

Hope everything is fixed now, Gerry! It can be so annoying when that happens. What a lovely picture, though. Really beautiful.

The laptop screen spontaneously recovered – it heard me say I was going to drown it in Grand Traverse Bay. I untied myself from the Pretzel Pose and returned to working at the desk, but I’m thinking about that fitness idea, giid. Instructional videos . . .
I agree with all of you – Babs delivers. Which is more than I can say for my beloved laptop. It is like a brilliant but lazy child. A blinking, blasted little miscreant (have I got that right, Leslie?)
I believe Katherine’s furnace is working again, which is a good thing, because we are about to go on a chilly adventure and will want to warm up when we get back. Stay tuned . . . .

You have my sympathy.
What a beautiful picture. Words become small compared to this game of colors.
