There’s a certain beauty to shades of gray, silver and pale straw. A minimalist palette, if you will. Restful. Sort of like an Ingmar Bergman film . . . Good thing I have dogs. A person could slide right into gloom on a day like this, but dogs don’t know from gloom. To them it’s all about a nice walk on the beach and coming home to good smells. Think I’ll go put a pot roast in the oven.

Thanks, Leslie . . . but think how really lovely they’d be with just a touch of nice blue sky . . .

Gerry,
I love the snowflakes on the website. Looks like lots of snow to come home to today. Hope to send a picture later.

Thanks, Babs. I’m quite attached to the snowflakes myself. We have plenty of the real stuff, and the wind has been blowing off the Bay, so there are deep drifts everywhere. Safe trip, my friend.

Aha! My devious plan seems to be working, Rob. See you soon! (In addition to pot roast there is beer. Good beer.)

You are so right about the gray scenery. And about the dogs. And especially about the pot roast!
