Letters from Katy: Ancestral portraits

Posted on October 18, 2008

There was a note from Katy Newman in today’s mail:  “My cattail ancestors: Note the old man in the middle of the photo . . . he is the patriarch I believe.”

I cropped and enlarged the photo, so the patriach is now a little left of center (you see how I am) and standing tall above the rest – assuming I spotted the right one. It’s a little like finding portraits in the clouds, isn’t it? Or dried apple dolls! Katherine finds milkweed down birds, Katy finds cattail portraits. I can hardly wait to see what Babs has been up to this week.
