Summer’s winding down . . .

Babs Young has been up in Chalevoix again, and sends this intelligence:

This is the Belvedere Club beach in Charleviox. I guess it was a little too chilly this morning so was all closed up for at least this am.

Ah well–be of good cheer. Every August we see a splotch of red or yellow leaves and moan that we’re going to have an early autumn–and every September brings a few days of such surpassing heat that we complain that summer should have the decency to go away and let us get back to business. Don’t put away the beach chairs yet . . .
