You know Lauren. Of course you do. She’s the wisecracking pixie who works at the Eastport Market. She and her husband David just moved here a few years ago but they already know everybody in three townships. Now they’re moving back to northern California, where David has found a job he loves. The market is throwing a farewell party for Lauren on Sunday, May 18, from 8am until 11am. The rumor that it will then close in despair is completely untrue. I think you should stop by. There might be treats, and there will certainly be wisecracks. If you play your cards right, you might even meet Donnie and Dee Dee. (Lauren is their niece.)

I miss her, Aunt Audrey(DeeDee) and Uncle Donnie a great deal. I also miss all our friends in that beautiful part of the world. We will return after we’ve re-established our base of operations here in Grass Valley, Ca. The Granddaughters and their parents are a blast to be with. I can understand why Lauren(Gwammy) had to return to this part of the world. I’m also happy to be back in the Sierra ,and near the gold mine. I’m sure that we will take advantage of the opportunities here to enable our return to Eastport when the time comes.
Regards,
David

David how nice to hear from you. Everyone here wishes you and Lauren the very best, and hopes you’ll come back often. You can be Summer People. You and Gwammy – Gwammy?!? – can bring the grandchildren to visit the Ancestral Lands.
The wailing and moaning of the customers at the IGA is pitiful to listen to, but it isn’t a patch on the wailing and moaning of the staff.
