Good morning! It’s trout season opener.
- The National Trout Festival is in full swing over in Kalkaska. (Please note: Jack’s Adult Trout Fishing Contest is not nearly as racy as it sounds.)
- We sold this spring’s first container of bait worms over at the IGA yesterday – rang ’em up as “Grocery/ Taxable” too, reasoning that they were not food. Not for people anyway.
- My deck is covered with the bodies of fishflies who celebrated too heartily around my lights last night. At least I hope they’re fishflies. You should’ve seen ’em spinning around like fireworks against the dark sky, their trails illuminated in the glow of the porch lamp. I would have taken a picture, but I was too busy watching. Gotta go – have other fish to fry this morning, not to mention a deck to sweep.
