Still here after all these years . . .

I just loved doing Torch Lake Views and would very much like to revive it on a regular basis but it’s not at all clear to me how best to do that.  It’s OK.  I’ll keep working on it in between other chores.

• I’m busy sorting books so that I can keep the ones I can’t let go yet and take the others to the Little Book Cottage in Central Lake and to the free book cellar in Elk Rapids and to a few particularly special places where I think they’d be happy.  (What – you don’t think your books care what happens to them?  Oh.)
• I have a little library at the end of my driveway where passersby may choose some for themselves and even leave some for others.  I like doing that.   I try to be careful about what goes in there.  So far so good.  Please come and take some of them.
• I’m busy sorting masses of family photos and mementos and journals as I am the oldest living descendant of a fair number of people and it would be a shame for all the interesting stories to rot in the attic.
• I’m busy keeping up with contractors whose specialty is figuring out what the heck is going on with my electrical and plumbing and other indications of incipient dilapidation.
• I’m busy trying to sort out writing I thought I did and published on TLV . . .  but seems to have disappeared.  That’s a shame, as some of it was not too bad.
• I’m busy re-connecting with old friends who are often as elderly as I am.  That is always rewarding.
