Katherine and the impressionist deer

Katherine writes: I was wondering if the birds were much more voracious this year than usual because I have been going through bird seed like there’s a hole in the feeder. I caught this deer at the feeder along with 3 of her friends or kids. No wonder the seeds have been going.

Hm. Reminds me of my elementary school teacher: “Kids are goats, children are people.” She tried in vain to teach us more formal speech, but she did get across the important idea that children were, after all, people!
