Special holiday shopping

Relieve some of the stress of the season.  Buy the perfect present, one that’s needed and wanted and doesn’t even have to be wrapped!  And I guarantee you can find something within your budget—how great is that?  Here’s what you do.  Visit Sonny’s Torch Lake Market or the Eastport Market or the Torch Lake Township Community Services Building and put a can of soup or a package of noodles or some toiletries in the special basket.  The Upper Torch Lake Association “You Make A Difference Food Drive” will deliver all the goodies to the food pantry at Good Samaritan in Ellsworth.  Here’s what the baskets look like:

Here’s what the growing stash at the IGA looks like.  (I know, I know, most people call it the Eastport Market, but I grew up calling it the IGA.  Not the one here, the one in Rhinelander.  There’s one in every little town in the Midwest.  I digress.)
