Part of the fun of doing a blog is reading the stats – the number of times a post was viewed (what is it with the milk hauler, anyway???) and the links that people followed (there is an unhealthy interest in “Michael Moore’s house” – trust me, people, those who talk don’t know and those who know don’t talk). I wonder about the search for “compact guns” and “drumlins world’s end” – maybe I don’t really want to know – and would like to tell the person who asked that yes, you can eat muskie, but most people who have fought a muskie and lived to tell the tale prefer to mount the monster on the wall and be done with it. (Note: Mounting a muskie calls for expert taxidermy services. Boys and girls, do not try this at home.)
The thing that makes me the happiest is the number of times people use Torch Lake Views to learn more about the things I love – the trails at Barnes Park, the best place to see a sunset or launch a kayak or take the kids for a picnic, the great daytrips, the quirky and delightful local businesses, the extraordinary farm markets. I’m so glad you like them all. Thanks for checking in.
